Different Dimensions Part Two: Strange Being

Paige was in shock after seeing fire appear in a person's hand. She tried to ask if it was a magic trick, but she couldn't. No words came out of her mouth.

"What's wrong? Oh, this?" Christina said pointing at the fire in her hand, "It's nothing. Trying to make a fireball in case I need a torch, you see?" And just then, an ice ball turned up in her other hand. She put the fire on to the ice ball. Slowly the fire seeped through the ice ball and was contained inside of it. Paige was still silent but now scared of Christina, scared of what she might do to her.

As she watched Christina place the fireball into a satchel, night had fallen upon them. Paige ran into the wooden hut behind her. Christina was still outside, not knowing why Paige had ran inside. But even though she didn't know what was going on, she followed Paige inside the hut.

The hut was very messy, like it was ransacked by a gang of theives. There was mud all over the floor with bits of paper crumpled up on it. Not a single light was to be found in the hut. The only thing lighting up the hut was the moon which barely shone through the small windows. In the corner of the hut, there was a matress with holes and springs sticking out of it. There was a smell of rotten egg coming from the sink that made Christina's nose hurt. She definetely did not like it. In fact, she despised it.

"Ugh! What is that putrid smell? Do you live here? This place needs to be remodeled in every single corner!" Complained Christina. She flicked her wand and in a blink of an eye, the hut transformed into a very nice, decent house. "Change this house back to what it used to be!" Paige demanded, "We can't risk getting spotted by the bombers!" Christina replied "Don't worry! Only the inside changed. From the outside, it still looks like a filthy old hut."

And she was right. Paige ran out and saw her old hut. "And just in case-" Christina said while creating an invisible barrier around the house, "- I'll put a barrier around us making the hut invisible!" Words could not describe how shocked, scared and confused Paige was. . "Um.. A thank you would be nice?" Said Christina. Paige kept silent. She wandered around the invisible barrier, wondering if she'd gone mad. "How do I get out?" Paige said in a very silent voice. "Just walk through" , replied Christina, "but again, a thank you would be nice." Paige ran out of the barrier as if she were being chased by the bombers.

"Wait! Where are you going??" Shouted Christina after her. But Paige had ran out of the barrier by the time Christina shouted at her. Paige stood outside of the barrier. She couldn't see her hut. All she saw were trees right where her hut was. She started screaming, "Is this a plan of yours, Germans? Trying to make me go crazy?! It won't work you filthy bastards!!" She had lied to herself. She had, in fact, gone mad. Seconds after screaming her lungs out, Paige was grabbed from the back and dragged into the woods.

She was dropped on the ground minutes later. She tried to get up but was held down by the person who had grabbed her. She couldn't scream because there was a hand covering her mouth. She didn't open her eyes, scared of seeing who had taken her. "I'm taking my hand off your mouth but you won't scream, understand?" A voice spoke to her with a very unfamiliar accent. She nodded and the hand was lifted off her mouth. She had opened her eyes too.

Right then, she had seen the face of the person who grabbed her. It was a very different face from what she normally  saw in London. A man with the face that people had warned her about sat next to her. She sat up, staring at the man. He said, "I am Adam Falke, a soldier from...." he paused for a moment as if he was hesitating. "I'm Paige Walker. I've never seen you around in London. You new here?" Paige said to break the silence. "Yes! Yes... Yes I'm new here..." Adam blurted out.

Paige thought it was very strange as he was in the army but never did she ever see him there. She had worked as a nurse, tending to the injured soldiers and never during her time there, had she seen an Adam Falke on the list of soldiers in the army. "You got a hut to stay in? If you don't you can stay with me for the night." Paige asked. Adam shook his head. He was feeling very awkward. He had lied to Paige.

He was actually a fleeing German soldier who hated the army and had an unpleasant history with them. The army had shot his entire family except for his mother. Swearing vengeance, he joined the army and planned to take it down from the inside.

"Come on then, uh, Falke?" Paige called. Adam left his concious and saw Paige standing a few feet infront of him. "Huh, what?", said Adam, confused, "Oh, right. Ok" They walked until they reach the invisible barrier put up by Christina. "Where is the hut?" Adam asked. Paige's face turns sour, remembering the events with Christina. She kept silent and vanished into the barrier. Adam rushed to follow.

They walked into the hut. Adam, confused and amazed (and maybe a bit scared), asked, "So sorry but, are you a witch?" Paige shook her head. Just then, Christina's head pops out of one of the doors. "Ooh! So Paige dear, who is this handsome gentleman?" Christina asked. Before Paige could answer her, she blurted out, "Oh darling dear! I am so sorry for intruding in your personal life! He must be your boyfriend!" "What!? No, he is not my boyfriend! He's just staying here for a few days until we meet with the warden to assign Falke to a hut." Paige exclaimed defensively.

"So his name is Falke?" Christina asked. "Yes, um, Adam Falke right?" Paige said. "Wha..? Oh, yes, Adam Falke..." Replied Adam confused. At this point, Paige thought something was suspicious, different about Adam.
