The Girl with Big Dreams Part Three: Happy Returns

Jemma Peters, the sweet, innocent girl, had just ran from home to another continent. She had just arrived at a hotel and was lying on the very stiff and uncomfortable bed that was in her room. She tossed and turned all night, trying to sleep but failed at all her attempts. Only at 5:00 am did she fall asleep. At 1:00 pm, Jemma's stomach growled and she got up to go to a cafe nearby.

Just as she got to the cafe, she saw a familiar face having some coffee in the cafe. Jemma walked closer to the table to make sure she wasn't hallucinating. "Jem?? Is that you?!" Said the man at the table. "Dad!!!" Jemma shrieked. Jemma rushed to hug her father but he stopped her. "What are you doing here?? Is Mom with you? Has your Mom finally let you come and see me??" Said Jemma's father excitedly, "Where is your mother?? I really miss her, but not as much as I miss you!"

Jemma sighed and gulped. Telling her father what she had been through was something she never thought of. What would he think if he knew his sweet innocent girl ran away to another continent to meet him? What would he do if he knew about it? Thoughts ran through Jemma's mind. "I came here alone, Dad. Not with Mom, not with my school, just by myself. If you want me to explain, let me go get myself some brunch. Just woke up and my stomach's twisting." Replied Jemma.

Her father got her some food and they went to the table where they were reunited. "Now, please explain. I really won't scold you. I know whatever you did wasn't because your a delinquent, but it was because you care." Said her father calmly. Jemma sighed and told her father about her big adventure across the globe.

"Wow. You did all that, just to see me?" Jemma's father asked. Jemma just nodded, scared whatever comes out of her mouth will get her into trouble. "Jemma, I, I don't know what to say. I am the luckiest father in the whole wide world to have such a caring daughter." He said and hugged Jemma. "Let's go get your stuff and head to my apartment. You must be tired after your journey." He was right. Jemma was tired. Too tired. She smiled and passed out. Jemma's father carried Jemma to his car, got her stuff and headed back to his apartment. "I am the luckiest dad in the world..."

The Girl with Big Dreams Part Two: Jemma's Big Adventure

Jemma Peters just had her heart broken. The only connection she had with her father had been thrown into a pit of flames. Crying her heart out, she ran to her room and grabbed her backpack. She filled it with her clothes, phone, savings, sleeping bag, and tent. Still crying, she lay on her bed until midnight.

At 1:00 am, she got up, took her backpack and sneaked out of the house.
She ran into the world, not knowing what was out there. She stopped in front of a motel and looked for a room. Fortunately, the most expensive room was 5 dollars so she could get that room. She put her backpack on the bedside table and went to sleep without changing her clothes. The next day, she woke up at 12:00 pm. She took a quick shower, put on some new clothes and grabbed a quick snack at the nearest kiosk. Before leaving the kiosk, she bought a map, two bottles of water, a loaf of butterscotch bread and continued her journey to be with her father.

After three hours, she got stopped at a petrol station and had a drink and ate a slice of bread. She continued her journey walking at a fast pace. She got tired and found herself in the town of Southpark. She got a taxi and went to the airport which was an half an hour drive so she could get some rest. She slept until she arrived at the airport. As soon as she got there, she ran inside and looked for an ATM. She found one and took her mother's credit card she secretly took before leaving. She took out some money and went to buy a ticket to Japan.

As soon as she boarded the plane, a police officer called out, "Is there a Jemma Peters on board?? If there is, please proceed out of the plane to reunite with your parents." Jemma was frightened. She took out a jacket and a hat and put it on so no one would recognize her. The police officer passed her without noticing. She let out a long sigh and relaxed for the first time during the whole journey.

When she arrived in Japan, she took a taxi and went to a cheap hotel near her father's office. "Tomorrow's gonna be a great day, if I don't get caught, that is...." Jemma said to herself.
